Come and visit the newest, most exciting family attraction in the heart of Birmingham, where you can journey by train from the UK to Scotland, Holland, Germany, Canada and Japan – with the United States currently under construction.

Spend a little time in St Paul’s Cove, a sleepy seaside village in 1930s England, before moving on to a 1960s town with back-to-back houses and a bank robbery on the High Street. On the first floor is the Royal Train with the Queen and Prince Phillip on the red carpet, whilst on the second floor is Germany, depicted in N Gauge, with a vineyard, market, cement works and large station. Holland and Belgium and Canada are also on the second floor. See the great trains of the past – Flying Scotsman, Mallard, Golden Arrow, the Royal Train, the Rheingold Express.

There is plenty for all ages, from flight simulators where you can try your hand at the controls of a single-engined Cessna and, if you can land that safely, move on to a Boeing 737 or even a 747. You can even fly at low level down the Strip at Las Vegas. In Little Train Driver’s World children (and sometimes adults) can take to the controls of one of four train tracks, there is also Thomas’s Big Day Out, where children can control the famous little train and his friends. Drop into Air Traffic Control and see the comings and goings at Birmingham International Airport. Or head to the Scalextrics track and test your skill on this digital track with over-taking points. There is a second four lane Scalextrics track on the second floor, which is slightly easier for smaller visitors.

On the ground floor is a welcoming cafe with freshly made paninis and sandwiches, a special children’s menu, alongside a variety of delicious cakes and snacks. We also have a fully-stocked model shop where you can buy all you need for your own model railway – plus planes, paints, cars and much more.

And for now, as a special bonus for modellers come and see how we are building it – a must for all enthusiasts. But hurry. Don’t leave it too long.
